Our Mission

Welcome to In Harmony, A Women's Chorus. In Harmony, a four-part women's choir, provides an safe environment for lesbians and friends of lesbians to sing together "in harmony."

It is the mission of In Harmony, A Women's Chorus to perform quality women's choral music and to contribute to the women's community by:

• Providing an opportunity for lesbians to affirm their identity
• Providing mutual support for members
• Promotion of lesbian artists and their works
• Developing musical skills
• Building bilingual repertoire
• Cooperating with other elements of the lesbian and gay community to foster a positive image.

In Harmony, A Women's Chorus was founded in February of 1991, when it was known as the Ottawa Women's Chorus, and gave its first concert four months later.  We welcome you to the chorus and hope that you will want to contribute to this expanding tradition of music and friendship.
